Trilogy Metals Inc. was looking for a dynamic and interactive way to showcase the impressive Arctic deposit at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto. The Arctic deposit, being potentially one of the highest-grade copper deposits known in the world, warranted a presentation that stood out to the thousands of attendees at the world’s premier mineral exploration and mining event.
Using our expertise in virtual reality development, iMakerXR built a custom VR application that enables audiences to explore the Arctic deposit mine site during production and reclamation phases and to take virtual guided tours of the project. Users can fly, walk, or teleport throughout the Arctic deposit project to see the open pit, ore body, integrated waste management facility, mineral processing facilities, view drill holes, and even toggle open key drill hole intercepts to see their mineral composition.
Trilogy’s Arctic deposit virtual reality experience proved to be a resounding success, with hundreds of people taking turns to see it first-hand. It attracted much attention throughout the PDAC conference, including a featured photo in The Globe and Mail, one of Canada’s most widely read newspapers.
